Hatha Yoga

An exploration of movement patterns that underpin some of the key postures. The focus is on reducing effort and strain and discovering how to move more fluidly and dynamically. Classes will end with a deep relaxation /meditation.

Events

Mantra Meditation practice of Kirtan

2nd Friday of the month

Kirtan as a yoga practice is part of nada yoga. Yoga teaches us that the special vibration of the sounds created by mantra affects us on various levels, e.g. cellular, emotional, mental, psychic.  The singing of Kirtan has a purifying and releasing effect on our overall being. It is the Yoga of the Heart.
Followed by chai and shared kai (food)
 


Yoga and Meditation Weekend Retreat

All are welcome.  Participants enrolled in Karmavidya’s Term 1 Hatha Yoga classes are strongly advised to attend.

One Day Yoga Retreat:
Caring for Caregivers

This Retreat is aimed at providing space for caregivers (teachers, nurses, support workers, social workers) to learn how to integrate different aspects of yoga. 

All are invited to come and restore the vital energy
