Atmavidya is now offering Hatha Yoga and Meditation courses in the Raglan area

Hatha Yoga courses:
1) Being in Touch with the Self  

Tuesdays:  September 5, 12, 19, 26

Time:  6 - 7.15pm

Venue:  Solscape, 611 Wainui Road, Raglan

Teacher:  Atmavidya

4 x 75 minute classes to:

•    expand peace, vitality and well-being of body, mind and spirit.
•    expand capacity to be present in the experience of now;
•    create a more spacious life;

Classes include postures (asana) to release physical, mental and emotional tensions and breathing practices (pranayama) to expand vital energy.  Practices are given to deepen meditative awareness and connectedness with Self.

Suitable for:  All body types, levels of mobility, experienced practitioners and beginners

2) The Core of Self 

Thursdays:  September 7, 14, 21, 28

Time:  9.30 – 11am

Venue:  Parito REtreat

Teacher:  Atmavidya 

4 x 90 minute classes to:

•    expand peace, vitality and well-being of body, mind and spirit;
•    expand capacity to be present in the experience of now;
•    create a more spacious life.

Classes include postures (asana) to release physical, mental and emotional tension, breathing practices (pranayama) to expand vital energy and deep relaxation to deepen awareness and connectedness with Self.

These classes will particularly focus on core strength, well-being and strength and mobility of the spine and pelvis and the expansion of peace.

Suitable for:  All body types, levels of mobility, experiences practitioners and beginners

Meditation Course:  
Abiding in the Deep Essential Self 

Tuesdays:  September 5, 12, 19, 26

Time: 7.15 – 8pm

Venue:  Solscape, 611 Wainui Road, Raglan

Teacher:  Atmavidya

Ideally, meditation follows asana and pranayama practice that allows the physical and mental tensions to be released.  This creates the space for stillness, steadiness and comfort in meditation practice.  A range of comfortable meditation postures will be given, including resting on the floor or seated in a chair.

The first part of this class will be a preparatory practice including release of deeper tensions.  The second part of the class will be an opportunity to observe as the witness, any activity of body and mind.  The practice facilitates connection with the deeper nature of peace and inner harmony.
