Resting in the cradle of winter, this Mini Retreat invites embodiment of awakeness to life. It offers space for mindful exploration of movements bringing to light asana that one can truly be at ease within, and to pranayama that carries one easefully to the heart of the deep Self, in touch with the silence-nature of love within.

The particular focus for this Intensive is spiral movements that give rise to recognition of the boundless Being, in touch with unlimited clear seeing, spaciousness, ease and grace.

Through asana (postures), pranayama (expansion of the vital energy), yoga nidra (deep relaxation) and meditative awareness practices, this intensive deepens experience of the Yoga practice and Niyama of Ishwara Pranidhara, the celebration of the light of consciousness, the expansive witnessing presence (or more simply, the awareness or awakeness with life).

In the depth of stillness, there is a stirring of the vital force.  This Intensive nurtures the unfurling of life amid this stirring.  It welcomes expression of abundant creativity through sacred movement and sacred sound.

This intensive deepens experience of the Yoga practice and Yama of Brahmacharya, the generosity that allows all sense experience to be used for deepest and highest expressions of life through Feldenkrais practices, asana (postures), pranayama (expansion of the vital energy), yoga nidra (deep relaxation) with walking, sitting sound and movement meditation practices.

This Ocean Nourishment Mini Retreat begins at Plover Street with meditation, flowing into walking meditation a few minutes to the beach at Southshore to continue practice close with the ocean (weather dependent), returning to Plover Street for Yoga Nidra.

Through asana (postures), pranayama (expansion of the vital energy), yoga nidra (deep relaxation) and meditative awareness practices, this Mini Retreat deepens capacity to nourish well-being of body, mind and spirit.
